Frederick Hadidi represents companies and organizations in the electronics, Internet, and life sciences industries in appellate, licensing, and pre-litigation matters.
Before founding the firm, Fred worked as a solo practitioner and at the Silicon Valley offices of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom, Pennie & Edmonds, and Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe.
Recent Experience
• Represented a group of 22 patent prosecution firms and practitioners as amici in the Federal Circuit en banc appeal Therasense et al. v. Becton Dickinson et al. Click here for the brief
• Acted as pro bono appellate counsel in a successful asylum petition before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Click here for the brief
• Retained to provide advice about the scope and validity of patents in freedom to operate studies, formal opinions, and pre-filing investigations.
• Worked with corporate counsel to perform IP diligence in connection with patent sales transactions and in corporate mergers and acquisitions.
• Represented clients in licensing, joint development and technology transfer deals.
• Assisted with the strategic development of patent portfolios.
